Refugio “Cuco” Garcia, 74, of Pleasant Hill, CA passed away Wednesday, July 27th 2022 surrounded by his family after a fearless, and strong-willed, battle with cancer.

Born in El Paso,Texas in 1948 to Eusebio Garcia and Julia Salinas Garcia and married to Kathleen Budgick Garcia in 1979, Cuco was a dedicated father, dear friend to many, and respected colleague.
Cuco will be missed by his wife Katie, sons Adam and Patrick, brother Frank, as well as his colleagues at the John Muir Cardiac Cath Lab, and countless friends made through the pursuits of his passions which included running marathons, wine making, and rooting for the Oakland A’s.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice East Bay are greatly appreciated in recognition of their support for Cuco and his family.
